CHITTAGONG, SEPT 1: Bangladesh could make Luxembourg a business hub to market its products in the European countries, observed Bangladesh Business Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg (BBCCL).
Roy Suhash, the President of BBCCL called on Board of Directors of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) Saturday and observed it.
In a meeting with CCCI, Roy Suhash said, “New avenues of trade and investment will open up between Bangladesh-Luxembourg”.
CCCI President Murshed Murad Ibrahim, Senior Vice-President Mahbubul Alam, Directors S. M. Mahbubul Islam, Md. Ahid Siraj Chowdhury, Morshed Arif Chowdhury and Biswajit Roy, Bangladesh Coordinator of BBCCL and Navin Anwar, Managing Director, Marine Bay International took part in the meeting.
Roy Suhash, President, BBCCL said Bangladesh’s products enter Luxembourg via Belgium which increases the prices.
But, there is ample opportunity of market development as well as image brightening by taking advantage of setting up a hub there, he said. Roy invited CCCI delegation to attend trade fair in Luxembourg to be held next year.
Welcoming Roy Suhash, Chamber President Murshed Murad Ibrahim opined that Luxembourg is a small but highly developed country of Europe. He laid emphasis on identifying specific sector and working on joint collaborations in order to establish bilateral economic relation.
